Have you viewed the new PokerPro texas hold em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks back when I took a quick trip with my mother to the WinStar Betting house in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I watched how the other folks around the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was quite interesting to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no clay poker chips to do any chip tips, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stagnant. Perhaps I was the only one that recognized this, except I did notice the players at the table had a dull high quality to them. The reason for this might be since there was no human interaction with the dealer, the environment was relatively dull and the gamblers looked bored to tears. It was almost as if I was looking at a live variation of an online hold’em poker room rather than sitting with warm blooded humans. It was a little spooky and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of Star trek and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the live tables for more than an hour, I decided to see how the game action was and to encounter this new texas hold em poker gaming technologies. Following playing a few hands, I definitely felt like I was playing at residence. The lack of activity on the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle and stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those things are possible at these computer tables.
Another thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a lot of hands on the PokerPro table and noticed that the bet on was a lot like an internet holdem poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to become very odd.
Soon after betting a few rounds with this "unique texas hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m much better off playing texas hold’em poker online at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den had been to receive rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d loose a lot of gamblers.
