Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the western in an awesome game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the house, not like most other poker games that players wager with other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not need to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their $$$$.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game play, novices will be able to take their time and plan while not having to make hasty selections.
It’s also easier to participate in for a long time with only a little amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the casino is given 7 cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
